A 7.38% sales tax applies to all rentals. Discounts and coupons are applied to the base rate before tax. Any additional fees will be clearly itemized in your agreement.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes. A refundable security deposit is collected at the start of your rental and released once the vehicle is returned in good condition.
How many miles are included with the rental?
Each rental includes 300 miles per day. Additional mileage is charged at $0.20 per mile.

Free delivery/pickup within a 25-mile radius for rentals of one week or more.
Deliveries beyond 25 miles are available on a case-by-case basis with prior approval.
What are the allowed pick-up and return times?
Pick-ups and returns are available between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
Is there a specific schedule for custom deliveries?
Yes. Custom deliveries must be scheduled at least 12 hours in advance and agreed upon by Onyx Unlimited Car Rentals.
Do you allow pick-ups and returns outside business hours?
Yes — with advance notice. Please contact us ahead of time to arrange after-hours service.

No additional equipment or services are offered at this time.
What is the cost for an additional driver?
No cost! Additional drivers may be added free of charge, but they must meet age and license requirements.
What are the penalties or fees for smoking in the vehicle?
All vehicles are strictly non-smoking. Any evidence of smoking (cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, vaping, etc.) will result in a $200 cleaning fee.
Are there any fees associated with EZ Pass or toll usage?
Yes. Renters are responsible for all tolls, tickets, and violations incurred during the rental period.
All vehicles are equipped with a UNI Pass Device. Toll invoices may take 30–60 days to process. Once received, please review and pay promptly.
Is there a cleaning fee? Under what conditions is it charged?
We make sure every vehicle is spotless before your rental. Please return it in the same clean condition. Cleaning fees only apply if the car is returned excessively dirty.
Cleaning Fee Breakdown:
Moderate Cleaning ($50): Mud, sand, bug debris, light odors, or minor spills.
Heavy Cleaning ($100): Moderate stains, smoke odors, or heavy debris.
Severe Cleaning ($150): Full detailing or steam cleaning due to major stains or damage.
Pet Hair Removal ($150): For excessive pet hair.
Multiple Issues Cleaning ($250): When multiple levels of cleaning apply.
Extremely Dirty: $200
Filthy: $300+
